What is programmatic advertising?
Instead of buying a certain number of impressions from one publisher at once, the programmatic advertising ecosystem enables marketers to buy impressions in real time from several publishers that are targeted to a specific audience segment.
ROI is the aim of the advertiser, whereas revenue is the aim of the publisher.
There are two sides which are DSP and SSP So, DSP stands for Demand-side platform and SSP stands for Supply Side Platform
Who is the advertiser?
A person or business that promotes a product, service, or event to be advertised through traditional or digital marketing. Advertiser's main goal is to get a good ROI (Return On Investment). Since advertisers will buy inventory, or ad space, from publishers (the owners of the websites), we shall refer to them as buyers.
Ex: Apple, Nike, Coco cola.
A person or organization who publishes the product or service etc.. through them digital or traditional way is called publisher. Publishers are the responsible persons of showing advertising to the end users. Main goal of the publisher is to get a good revenue. Since publishers will sell the inventory or ad space to advertisers (The person who interested in advertising), we shall refer to them as sellers.
